Wednesday 28th May – Windsurf *** River Orwell at Levington – sunny periods with squally showers.

Foil – 18.12 knot max, 16.71 knot ave., 8.42 knot hour, 15.01 knot mile, 25.63 km., 14.44 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Tushingham Bolt 5.5.

After 3 consecutive day windsurf foiling including tow poor sessions at Levington I was going to have today off but it was windier than I expected, 20 knots plus from the west I forced myself to have another go:) I thought there might be a couple more here but they went to Bradfield instead, so after arriving at 10.15 I had the river all to myself! I went for the 5.5 again and for a change it was OK well to start with anyway! I started with short runs across the river with the wind probably wnw getting some nice gybes, I then had a couple of long flying runs down to Felixstowe Docks. I then had to keep out of the way of a couple of passing coasters before the squally rain showers started which really messed the wind up so I decided to call it a day getting in just in time to miss the heavy rain! Pack-up, shower and head for home around one arriving just in time to meet Mag returning from a nice visit to see Maeva:) Another breezy day tomorrow, I might try for a quick hour at The Manor in the morning but will make my mind up in the morning?
